Agewell Computer Club
The Agewell Computer Club is for people who have no previous experience of computers or the Internet. It will also be very useful for others who have had a little experience, but who have been too busy to do much with it. Our method is informal – no classroom teaching, no exams, no pressure – you can learn what you want to learn in your own way at your own pace. You will be with others like yourself the whole time. Free for Hackney residents who are between 50 and 65.
Here are some of the skills you could learn:
- How to use computers healthily.
- How to find and evaluate health information on the Internet.
- How to access government services and information.
- How to use email to contact friends and relatives.
- Understanding computer accessibility for people with visual impairment and other problems.
- How to buy a computer without spending more than necessary.
- Understanding Internet privacy and security.
